SES Families,

It is crazy to think that we only have one more week until Spring Break! This final week will be used to wrap up the grading period and celebrate the upcoming break.

On Wednesday, we host our March Madness Math and Literacy Night. We hope many families will be able to join us for the evening!

Have a great weekend!

3rd Grade - Famous Americans! 3rd Grade - Famous Americans!

Last Friday, our 3rd grade students showed off their Wax Museum. Students have been researching a famous American. In the museum they presented their findings.

Students stood stationary until a museum visitor came by and pushed their button. The button brought the famous American character to life and then students read the research as an autobiography. Students did an amazing job presenting what they learned! Great job!

Once they arrive, they will be welcomed by the school staff and administrators who will show them around the building. The building tours will take place from February 27 - March 13 during the day.

If you have any questions or do not wish for your child to participate, please contact your current building principal by Friday, February24th.

Kindness Garden! Kindness Garden!

During last week’s Sprouts Club meeting, students made kindness rocks.

We are planning on creating a kindness garden at Southport and we are going to be putting the rocks in the garden for encouragement.

NFL Flag at Cardinal Stadium is a 5 vs. 5, non-contact, recreational, co-ed league for children as young as 4 years old (Pre-Kindergarten) to 14 years old (8th Grade). We limit teams to 10 players or fewer to maximize playing time. This is an exceptional program for first time players who want to learn the fundamentals of football, and at the same time our league is also a wonderful opportunity for players who may want to continue to enhance their fundamentals and agility.

There are no try-outs and everyone participates! Children are placed on teams according to school, grade, and coach/buddy request. We do our best to make sure teams are even and good competition takes place each week.

This is a 6 game season with games played Sundays and a 1 Day Single Elimination Tournament at the end of the season. Practices take place one hour prior to game time each week to ensure a convenient and fun experience for all.

Participants will receive a NFL reversible jersey and flag belt. Mouth Guards are required and available for purchase at Cardinal Stadium.
