Your child's education is a shared responsibility between the teacher, family, and student. To ensure your child reaches their full academic potential, we have created Guided Reading Folders. Every student has a reading folder that will travel with them to and from school each day. In this folder, they will be receiving a new book weekly, along with their sight words to practice at home. Please send this folder back DAILY! The books inside belong to Frisco ISD and if not returned, must be paid for. PLEASE place it back in the folder each night after reading it. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

YOU MAY NOT FILM OR TAKE PICTURES OF ANY STUDENTS IF YOU ARE ON CAMPUS WITH YOUR OWN CHILD. If you come to have lunch with your child, you must sit at the visitor table.

If your child will be eating breakfast here at school, please have them here at 7:20 or as CLOSE AS POSSIBLE. Breakfast is from 7:20 - 7:40 in the cafeteria. There will be an adult assisting. The bell rings at 7:45 and students return to class. Thank you for all that you do!

NO OUTSIDE BREAKFAST WILL BE ALLOWED into the classrooms! For example, Whataburger, McDonald's, Donuts, etc.

If you're child eats breakfast at home, they will come straight to the classroom.

Above you will see your child's library times, please make sure both of their books from the Smith library are in their backpacks the night before. We do not get these out in class, so feel free to keep them in a safe place at home until that day!

1. Please practice tying and untying shoes at home!

2. Please practice putting on and zipping up a jacket!

3. Please keep and extra change of underwear, pants, socks, shirt, etc. in a ziploc bag in your child's backpack in case of spills and accidents, which are COMMON in Kindergarten! :)

Kindergarten lunch is from 10:30 - 11:00. If your student is buying lunch you will need to make sure to put money into their account. If your child has lunch restrictions, you can make those here.

We have snack time from 2:05 - 2:10 . Please DO NOT put snacks in your child's lunchbox. They do get the two confused and often eat their snack for lunch and lunch for their snack. Pack separately and have a conversation about the difference with your child. Thank you!

TIP: label "snack" and put it in the front pouch of their backpack! Quick, easy, healthy snacks are best! No nuts, please!

To Report an Absence/Tardy for your child, go to the Smith homepage and click on the yellow “Report an Absence” button in the upper right corner and complete the short form.
