A Message from the Principal
Good morning, North Oldham Family!
As we keep moving forward this school year, our students are truly excelling in every area. The encouraging, inclusive environment they foster each day radiates throughout our classrooms, corridors, and across all of NOHS. Seeing the incredible enthusiasm, warmth, and school spirit our Mustangs display daily fills me with tremendous pride.
Before we look ahead to this week, I want to pause and reflect. This Friday marked the 25th anniversary of September 11th, a day that changed our nation forever. We remember the thousands of lives lost, and we hold close the families who still carry that loss with them every day. We honor the extraordinary courage of the first responders who ran toward danger to save others, many of whom gave everything they had. And we express our deepest gratitude to the brave men and women in our military and law enforcement who continue, every single day, to keep us safe and free. Let us never forget, and let us always teach our students what it means to serve something greater than ourselves.
Athletics and Marching Band Update
What a week it was for Mustang Nation! Our fall sports teams put together a clean sweep against Oldham County last week, and it showed just how much heart and hard work this group has. That kind of success doesn't happen by accident, it's a reflection of the dedication our student-athletes and coaches bring to all of our sports.
Our teams put on another great showing this week against South!
Boys Soccer 1-0 Victory!!
Girls Volleyball 3-0 sweep!
Field Hockey got a big win, 4-1!
Girls Soccer fought hard, but came up just short, 1-3.
Football will play at 7:30 @ South.
Marching Band will compete @ South on Saturday at 2:15.
Come out and support our fall athletes as they continue to impress week after week. Whether it's on the field, on the court, or on the course, your cheers make a difference. Let's pack the stands and show South what Mustang pride looks like.
Parking Lot Reminders
A quick but important reminder: the senior parking lot is reserved for students and visitors, please do not drop students off or park in student spaces, especially in the morning. This creates unnecessary risk of injury or accidents for our students and families. Please use the designated student drop-off and pick-up line at the beginning and end of the day. Thank you for helping us keep our students safe!
Campus Safety:
Student and Parent Reminder: Help Us Keep Our Campus Safe
The safety of our students, staff, and visitors is our top priority. With many vehicles and pedestrians sharing our campus each day, it is important that everyone takes extra care when driving on school property.
Students & parents are expected to drive safely, follow all posted speed limits and traffic laws, and remain alert at all times.
Please remember:
Slow down. Speeding on campus creates unnecessary risks for pedestrians and other drivers.
Put your phone away. Using a cell phone while driving—even for a quick text or notification—can take your attention away from the road.
Stay alert. Watch carefully for students walking between parking lots, buses, and vehicles.
Follow traffic signs and directions. Obey stop signs, marked traffic lanes, and directions from school staff.
Be patient and courteous. Give other drivers and pedestrians the time and space they need to move safely.
A few extra seconds are never worth putting someone at risk. Please slow down, put the phone away, and make safe driving a priority every time you are on campus.
Together, we can help keep our campus safe for everyone.
Closing
As always, I am grateful beyond words for this community. The support our families, alumni, and neighbors show our students, and staff is something truly special, and it's a big reason why NOHS continues to be a place where kids can grow, thrive, and succeed. Thank you for everything you do for our Mustangs.
