Information Regarding Re-Opening for the 2020 - 2021

We completely understand the urgency of knowing the exact details of the nature of how SFCS will re-open in the fall. We are working now to make sure we re-open in the safest way possible while providing an effective and quality Catholic school educational experience for all our students.

We have two committees of SFCS faculty members working on our plans locally while waiting for any Diocesan guidelines that will be issued. The Diocese has informed us that we will be allowed to have classes in the school in the fall as long as we are in compliance with guidelines that they are now currently formulating. Once information is finalized and a definitive plan is in place it will be immediately communicated to you.

Summer School Opportunity for Catholic School Students in Lowcountry Deanery

The Catholic Schools Office of the Diocese of Charleston has partnered with the National Summer School Initiative for the Catholic school students located in the Lowcountry Deanery that are rising 4th through 9th graders. The host school right now will be St. Gregory the Great Catholic School and the dates of the program are June 29 - July 31st. In order for the program to occur there must be a limited number of students that more than likely will attend. This number needs to be determined by Thursday, June 18th.

If you are interested then please read the embedded letter below in its entirety. If you are interested to have your child(ren) participate then email me (bpope@sfcshhi.com) by Thursday, June 18th. Thank you.

Congratulations Class of 2020!

The Class of 2020 received their diplomas last Friday in a graduation mass and ceremony with their families. The mass was streamed live of Facebook but if you do not have an account and would like to see the ceremony then below is a copy of the video.

Thank you to all the families and parishioners that assisted with the parade afterwords. It was a great surprise for our graduates. Also thank you to everyone that assisted in preparing the mass and ceremony.
