TRANSPORTATION TIPS
Traffic will be heavy surrounding VRHS and GHS with a limited number of parking spaces available. Make your travel experience to and from the conference a little less stressful by planning ahead for travel and parking. Check out some of the details specific to your site:
- Glenn HS will have 4 satellite parking locations with shuttles for your convenience! To best accommodate our attendees and take the guesswork out of "lot full" signs on the morning of CIC, we encourage campuses to gather in assigned shuttle locations.
- Vista Ridge HS has limited on-site parking due to campus construction, but parking at Gupton Stadium will ensure everyone has a place to park with shuttles running from the backside of the stadium to the front entrance of the school.
- Peak shuttle service times (with multiple buses provided):
- 6:45-9:00
- 10:15-1:30
- 3:30-5:00
- Shuttle service will also be provided on a continuous loop during off-peak hours.
Post your CIC carpool pics to this Padlet for a chance to win a prize!
More information can be found on the the CIC website.
Lunch Options
Due to logistical challenges, there will be no food trucks at CIC this year. If you've pre-ordered a BBQ meal from the CNS Catering team, you can pick it up in the cafeteria area. And as always, you have the option to go off site for lunch between sessions.
NON-EXEMPT EMPLOYEES & CLOCKING IN/OUT DURING CIC
Kronos details for monthly non-exempt employees that are scheduled to work Monday 11/4 and Tuesday 11/5 and will be participating in CIC:
- We will be loading District Staff Development time into Kronos for Monday, 11/4. (It will be 8 hours no matter the work schedule because CIC is the full day.)
- Employees will return to their normal clocking process on Tuesday, 11/5.
- If an employee is absent either day, they will need to submit that absence through Red Rover like normal. The staff development time will need to be zeroed in Kronos.
- If an employee clocks in and out on Monday, their timecard will need to be cleaned up by the reconciler. The staff development time can be lowered or zeroed.
- If a non-exempt employee participates in CIC and works more that 40 hours (or their specific weekly hours) for the week, Kronos will accrue comp time for the week. That is correct.
- We will also be loading time for our Biweekly IAs on Monday, 11/4.
