K-4 News: New Care Closets

K-4 Rocket Families,

We’re excited to share that each of our elementary schools now has a Care Closet available for all students in grades K-4.

Thanks to the generous support of our PTOs, these “closets” are stocked with everyday items like hair ties, clips, shirts, socks, underwear, hats, gloves, chapstick, and more. The Care Closet is here for those little moments when students might need something extra to get through the day, whether it’s a spilled drink at lunch, forgotten gloves on a cold morning, or an unexpected accident.

The Care Closet is available to all students, anytime it’s needed. When a student uses the Care Closet, the item they receive is theirs to keep. We want students to feel comfortable and cared for without worrying about returning anything.

We all know that everyone has a tough day now and then. The Care Closet is one small way we can make sure our students feel comfortable, cared for, and ready to keep learning.
