The Lemon Crest ROAR
*Friday, May 15, 2026*
A Message from Principal Price
Dear Lemon Crest Families,
We are nearing the end of the 2025-2026 school year, so we are asking families to share feedback so we can celebrate what’s working well and understand where we can improve. We shared this in the fall (Sept/Oct as well as in February), so we will be looking at your feedback to focus our improvement efforts for the 2026-2027 school year! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts!

We are working hard to make sure our Lions get recognized for positive behavior and for showing ROAR! Keep encouraging your Lion to earn a positive office referral by going above and beyond, showing ROAR consistently OR working really hard to improve their behaviors. We'll have a positive office referral popsicle party on Friday, May 29! As of Monday, we've got 18 days left of learning until summer break, and we want our Lions to finish STRONG! 🦁 Thank you, families, for all of your support! We appreciate you! 💛💚
Take care,
Jen Price

Shaping the Future of Lakeside Schools Together!
LC Families, please read the below message from our School Board: In Lakeside, we know our schools are more than buildings—they are the heartbeat of our community, where our students’ dreams take flight. As your Board of Trustees, we are dedicated to serving you and ensuring every family, student, and staff member has a seat at the table. We’ve made great strides this year by focusing on: · Career Pathways: Expanding Technical Education in our middle schools to prepare students for the workforce. · Supportive Environments: Prioritizing social-emotional well-being and behavioral support to help everyone thrive in the classroom. · Academic Excellence: Staying committed to innovation and grade-level mastery for every child. Now, we are looking ahead and need your guidance to help us set the right goals for the next chapter of our district. Your feedback ensures that our focus remains tailored to our students' unique needs. How can you help? Please take a few minutes to complete our community survey. Your voice is the key to helping our students reach for the stars! Take the Survey or visit https://www.lsusd.net/ #LakesideUnion #LUSD #CommunityFirst #FutureLeaders #LakesideCA

Contacting Teachers & Principal Price
If you have a question or concern about your child, we encourage you to speak with your child's teacher first. Please note that during the instructional day, teachers and staff may not be able to respond to your message, email or call since they are busy doing what they do best: teaching! Your child's teacher will respond to you when they are able. Thank you for understanding!
Contacting Principal Price:
Email: jprice@lsusd.net
Call the Front Office: (619) 390-2527 - The front office staff will take a message, and Principal Price will call you when she is available
In-Person: Call the office so Mrs. Whitehurst or Ms. Madina can help us set up a meeting so I can dedicate time to you!
Many of your questions may be answered in our Lemon Crest Family Handbook A-Z . We ask that all families read this.
Please know that there is a 24-48 hour "grace period" in my response time. When I respond, call or meet with you, I need time to get informed in order to have possible answers to your questions. I am prioritizing getting to know our students so I can support their success and am often not readily available in the office. Thank you for your understanding and support.
Theme for the Year: Planting Possibility
This year, our school's theme is Planting Possibility, inspired by the children's book, Curious Garden, written by Peter Brown. Click the link below for a read-aloud of the book by Principal Price!
