KINDERGARTEN FAMILY NIGHT (NEW POST!)
WELCOME MRS. ZHANETA ROURA: TECH FACILITATOR (2nd POST!)
We are delighted to welcome our new Tech Facilitator, Mrs. Zhaneta Roura, to Patton! Mrs. Roura has worked as a guest teacher in the district for a long time and knows Patton very well! We are so excited to have her as part of our staff!
Hello, Patton community! I am very happy to join such a wonderful group of students and staff. It is exciting getting to collaborate with everyone to embrace many fun and engaging technology tools!
My husband and I live in Arlington Heights with our two sons - one is a senior in college and the other is in high school. I was born and raised in Bulgaria, but my sense of adventure brought me to the United States over 20 years ago. Fun fact about me: I have lived in six different states prior to coming to Illinois! I enjoy traveling and visiting new places and I love skiing and outdoor adventures.
Over the past few years, my time spent in District 25 has been as both a guest teacher and a teaching assistant at Ivy Hill. It has been very rewarding. I am passionate about helping students build the courage and confidence to try new things and I am looking forward to making a positive impact here at Patton!
PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES - THURS, OCT., 23rd & FRI, OCT., 24th (2nd POST!)
Fall conferences will take place on Thursday, October 23rd and Friday, October 24th. School will NOT be in session on these dates. Conference times are available on Thursday morning, afternoon, and evening as well as Friday morning. Each conference is scheduled for 20 minutes.
The Signup Genius will go live on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 28th at 7:00 pm. You will be emailed the link directly.
These conferences are always a great way for you to connect with your child(ren)'s teacher, spend time in the classroom and hear about your child's school life and how they are progressing this year. We appreciate the ongoing partnership and collaboration that is shared in the Patton community. Please note that there is only one conference time slot for each student.
Fourth and Fifth Grade Parents: The conference times are for meeting with your child's homeroom teacher. If your child has a different teacher for math and you have specific math questions, please email him or her directly.
4th and 5th Grade Running Club (2nd POST!)
Are you interested in joining a club focused on FUN and FITNESS? If so, join Running Club!
Running club meets on Wednesdays in October (10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29) from 3:35-4:30pm. Each session will begin with a warm-up, 30 minutes of running at your own pace, and finish with a cool-down. Mrs. Goumas is the club sponsor and Carolyn McCarty is the PTA volunteer.
Parent volunteers are VITAL to the success as they provide a safe running path. Please sign up to volunteer for at least one session if possible.
Please note: The club will not meet if it is raining.
Once you sign up, more information about the club will be sent your way
4th & 5th GRADE HOMEWORK CLUB (ONGOING POST)
4th and 5th Grade homework club provides a quiet space for students to complete assignments or read in a relaxing setting. Mr. Morkert will be available to answer questions and provide help when needed.
It is important that you note whether you will pick up your child or if they will walk home. Mr. Morkert will bring the kids to the front doors at 4:25pm. Please be there waiting at this time.
Please reach out if you have questions. (tmorkert@sd25.org)
This club will run on most Tuesdays, 3:35-4:30pm.
