56G News
October 24, 2025
Good Evening 56G Families,
As the leaves change and the first quarter draws to a close, October has been a busy month between outstanding music performances, students working hard academically as they wrap up quarter one, friendly competition for raising the most money to support our PTC, and cheering on our Unified Soccer team for their final game of the season. We are looking forward to entering into Quarter Two and seeing the continued growth of our students here at 56G.
Sixth Grade Shines in Music Performances 🎶
What a fantastic month for our sixth grade musicians! The music performances held over the last couple of weeks were an absolute hit. Our students showcased their talents and hard work beautifully. It was wonderful to see so many families come out to support them. A huge thank you to Mrs.Bush, Mr. Jacobs, Mr. Ross, Mrs. Coleman, and Mr. Hansen for their dedication and preparing our students so well for their first performances on the big stage! Your time and commitment is greatly appreciated as you help develop a love for music within our students. We are looking forward to the upcoming holiday performances of both our fifth and sixth grade musicians!
Unified Soccer Success Against HCS ⚽
Our Unified Soccer team closed out their season with a terrific final game against Hudsonville Christian. The effort and sportsmanship displayed by all our student-athletes were truly inspiring. It was exciting to see the collaboration, joy, and inclusion on the field. We want to extend a huge thank you to the incredible staff members who coached and supported the team, as well as our dedicated LINKS who played alongside our athletes, cheered them on, and modeled outstanding teamwork throughout the season. Your commitment makes our Unified Sports program a shining success!
PTC Amazing Race Fundraiser Update 🏁
Our Parent-Teacher Committee Amazing Race Fundraiser is nearing the finish line, and we are so close to hitting our school-wide goal! We've raised an incredible amount so far, but we still need your support. We are just $5,200 away from our $25,000 goal. Our students have surpassed our second goal and have earned a popcorn and pj day on Friday, November 14th. We are less than $300 away from the top three classrooms having their teachers either throw pumpkins off the roof or silly stringing their teachers! Thank you again to our fabulous PTC for the efforts on making this fundraiser and the Amazing Race Day possible. We appreciate the time and efforts you pour into making our school what it is!
Quarter 1 Ends for Sixth Grade 📚
Today marks the end of Quarter 1 for all of our sixth grade students. They have worked hard, and we're proud of their efforts! Here are a few key dates and notes regarding grades and the start of Quarter 2:

Viewing Grades: You can check your child's final Quarter 1 grades in your PowerSchool parent account starting the evening of November 7th.
Quarter 2 Begins: On Monday, our sixth graders will officially begin Quarter 2 and start their new round of second quarter electives.
Viewing Quarter 2 Electives: The schedule for your child's Quarter 2 electives is now viewable in their PowerSchool student account.
We encourage you to review the quarter's progress with your child and discuss their goals for Quarter 2. As always, feel free to reach out to your child's teachers with any specific questions or concerns that you may have.

Event Information
The 56G Renaissance club is an opportunity for students to make 56G a place to belong, not just a place to go. The Renaissance club will plan events designed to build a positive and student led culture inside our school. This is an opportunity to provide input and practice leadership skills while also making 56G more comfortable. In previous years, clubs at our other schools in the district have focused on student and staff acknowledgement and done projects such as murals and school-wide events. What projects happen at 56G will be up to the students in the club.
Students will meet in the 5th grade collaborative space from 2:55-3:30pm.
If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Arnoys at marnoys@hpseagles.net.
