Parent - Week of 12/9
Week of December 9
Season's Greetings, Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Feliz Navidad, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Pancha Ganapati.
As December leaves us with red noses, we're feeling the excitement in the air! Our middle schoolers are buzzing with energy, ready to wrap up the year with a bang. It's been a month filled with creativity and collaboration, and we can't wait to see what the students will accomplish before the break. Let's keep that holiday spirit alive and finish strong together!

Family Activity: Create One Word Resolutions
As we get ready for the new year, why not start a fun family tradition? You can create One Word Resolutions! This means choosing just one special word that you want to focus on in the coming year. For example, words like "kindness," "bravery," or "fun" can help guide you.
A great book to read together is "The One Word That Will Change Your Life" by Jon Gordon. It shows how picking one word can help change your life for the better!
Here are some simple steps to create your One Word Resolutions:
- Talk Together: Share what you hope to achieve in the new year.
- Make a List: Write down words that inspire you.
- Pick Your Favorites: Choose one word that feels just right.
- Get Creative: Make a colorful display of your words to hang up at home.
I would love to see pictures of your family's visual reminders! Send them my way or email your words! Let's support each other in making this year amazing!
PS: My word is 'connect.' 😉

Lip's Diner
Any sixth grade student that would like an alternative to eating in the cafeteria is welcome to make reservations at The Lip Diner. Come relax, listen to music, and enjoy interacting with your friends from other pods! The Diner is open 5 days a week during the sixth grade lunchtime. Visit the link and sign up for the days you would like to come. We book a week in advance so make sure to sign up if you plan on attending (and you might notice that reservations won't open until the week prior).
