Dear Steubing Elementary Families,

As we turn the page to October, I want to take a moment to reflect on a wonderful start to the school year and share the exciting events ahead for our Stallion community.

First and foremost, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported our recent APEX Fundraiser! Because of your incredible generosity, our teachers are eager to purchase new learning materials for their classrooms, and our school team is excited to begin plans for enhancing our outdoor learning space. Your partnership directly impacts our students' daily learning environment, and we are deeply grateful.

Academic growth is always at the heart of what we do. Our students have completed their Beginning-of-Year (BOY) MAP assessments. These results give us a clear baseline of what each student knows, allowing our instructional teams to form flexible learning groups tailored specifically to every child's unique needs.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support our Mc Teacher Spirit Night for Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and ALE! It was wonderful seeing so many of our Stallion families, and we appreciate your support in raising funds for PTA to support these grade levels. We love our Steubing community!

We also loved seeing our school filled with so much family joy earlier early in September. Steubing was practically taken over by grandparents joining their Stallions for breakfast. Thank you to all the grand-stallions who came out to spend the morning with us and make those memories extra special.

October promises to be just as busy and festive! Here is a quick look at what is coming up this month:

  • Parent/Teacher Conferences: A crucial time to connect with your child’s teacher and discuss their progress.

  • Bike Rodeo: A fun event promoting bicycle safety and skills.

  • Trunk or Treat: Join us for our annual community trick-or-treating celebration!

  • Red Ribbon Week: Raising awareness and encouraging healthy, positive life choices.

  • Report Cards & Volunteer Opportunities: Keep an eye out for grade reports and ways to get involved around campus.

  • Lots of Dress-Up Days: Fun themed spirit days throughout the month for students to show their creativity.

Thank you for your continued support, energy, and commitment to making Steubing Elementary a wonderful place to learn and grow. Please never hesitate to reach out to our main office with any questions, ideas, or concerns.

Warmly,

Mrs. Bishop, Principal
