8th-grade Graduation Gown Ordering - March 2nd Deadline!

It is time to prepare for the upcoming 8th-grade graduation. One important component of graduation is gowns. The gowns will be sent home prior to the ceremony with care instructions and will be yours to keep after they are worn.

Please fill out the following form with your graduate’s information. This is required by Jostens and will ensure the appropriate size is ordered for each student. We ask that this be completed by Monday, March 2.

Graduation Gown Order Form

The 8th-grade graduation ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, June 3, at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at the College of Lake County Physical Education Center. Wednesday, June 3 will also be the last day of school for all 8th-graders and will be a full day of school.

More information regarding graduation, including student speaker opportunities, admission tickets, and the 8th-grade dance will be shared in the coming weeks/months. Quest Food Services - Help in Navigating the Lunchroom Quest Food Services - Help in Navigating the Lunchroom

Our primary goal is to ensure that no student goes hungry. Regardless of an account balance, a nutritious meal will always be provided to every student. To keep our operations running smoothly, please keep the following policies in mind:

  • Meal Availability: Students with a negative balance or specific parental account restrictions are always eligible for our "main meal" options. This includes the daily posted entree, burgers, hot dogs, and cold sandwiches.

  • A La Carte & Premium Items: Students with negative balances will be asked to refrain from purchasing "extra" items such as premium drinks, chips, cookies, or second helpings of pizza. If a student attempts to purchase these at the snack line, they will be redirected to the main line for a standard meal.

  • Privacy and Discretion: We train our staff to handle balance discussions with the utmost discretion. Our policy is to inform students of their purchasing options respectfully, without discussing specific financial details in front of their peers.

Parents/guardians can monitor their student lunch accounts using MySchoolBucks. Email notifications are managed through your account settings. To turn on low balance emails click on your name/blue circle with a white figure in the upper right-hand corner of your MySchoolBucks account. In the drop-down menu select "My Students". Once the page loads click "Edit" in green next to your student’s name.

Fremont School District 79 greatly values your feedback as it relates to your student’s educational experience. Once again, the State of Illinois has partnered with 5Essentials to create a forum by which you can provide your input.

We need at least a 20% response rate in order to receive a report and our current response rate for Fremont Middle School is 7%.

If you have not already done so, we would greatly appreciate it if you would take the brief survey by visiting:

http://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/

Your responses are vital for continuous improvement and long-range planning for your child's school. Parents are welcome to answer the survey for each of their children’s schools.

The deadline to complete the survey is March 13, 2026.
