Delton Kellogg Schools appreciates your support for our athletic teams. To insure everyone enjoys these events, we ask that you do not bring outside equipment to the games. This includes footballs, soccer balls, mitts etc. Students are asked to be seated in the bleachers with their friends and family.

Thank you - Athletic Department

Delton Kellogg Middle School is proud to offer resources to our students that need help with assignments. One of our dedicated teachers is available to help with questions and provide guidance on available resources. Tuesday's, Mrs. Tyner is available to assist students and Thursdays, Mrs. Estep helps students. Students can catch up on past due assignments or utilize this time to build skills for successful study habits.

Beginning this year, KickStart is asking that any deposits of $20 or more be clearly marked by a parent or guardian expressly stating it is for the KickStart Program. We want to ensure that the money being sent with your children is designated for their account and not for another school activity.

Hello DKMS families! We had another excellent week here at the middle school!

Swim Team Opportunity: DKMS and Hastings Middle School have a CO OP swimming team for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys and girls. Practices start Monday November 27, 2023 from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm at the CERC in Hastings. Students will need to have a physical on file with our Athletic Office in the high school to participate. Also, students will need to have their own transportation to and from practice/swim meets. If you have any questions please email Mike Goggins at mike.goggins@hassk12.org.

I would like to thank everyone for their generosity in giving food for our Thanksgiving food drive. Thanks also goes out to our Student Council and Mrs. Lebeck for collecting the items and creating the Thanksgiving boxes that will go to some of our Delton Kellogg families.

Next week is a very short and very busy week for us. Monday November 20th and Tuesday November 21st are both half days where students are dismissed from school at 11:30am. All students will be provided with a sack lunch on those days, if they decide to take it. Monday evening we will have Parent/Teacher conferences from 5pm to 8pm, 3 home middle school boys basketball games starting at 4:00 pm, and there is a School Board meeting at 7:00 pm in the elementary library. On Tuesday, we will have Parent/Teacher conferences from 2pm to 4pm and again from 5pm to 8pm. Our Girls Competitive Cheer Team will be at Fennville Tuesday for a competition that begins at 6:00 pm.

If you have not signed up yet, please use this link to sign up and have the ability to discuss your child's academic and social growth with their teachers. Students do not have school Wednesday November 22nd through Sunday November 26th.

Monday November 27th is the start of the second trimester. Students will have a new RASL class beginning the 27th, so please remind your child to check their schedule to see what their new P1 or P2 class will be.

As always I would like to thank our staff, students, families, and community for helping make DKMS a great place to be. I would also like to wish everyone and their families a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday! Please enjoy the time off and we will be excited to see everyone back to school Monday November 27th! Have a great weekend!

Just can't hide that PANTHER PRIDE!

Thank you,

Principal
