The Fall Dance
Arguably Log College's most fun event returns again this Fall. On October 25, Log will host its Fall Dance. The dance is held outside with a DJ. This is a rain or shine event (it is moved inside if we have inclement weather). Students can wear costumes, dress to the nines, or simply wear whatever feels comfortable. We always suggest dressing for cooler weather and wearing appropriate shoes in case the grass is wet (we use grass and paved areas). We will hand out permission slips the week of the dance, but we've included it in the link below. Permission slips will be collected and bracelets will be distributed the day before and day of the dance during lunches.
Also, we are happy to take any donations (listed in the attached letter).
MBIT Open House
Middle Bucks Institute of Technology is hosting an open house on November 21. Click the link below for more information.
Pumpkin Decorating Contest
Fall Sports Continue
Log's Volleyball and Field Hockey teams lost tight contests, while Boys Soccer picked up a big win at home vs. Tohickon.
6th Grade Art Class
Sixth grade students in Mrs. Schenfelt’s Introduction to Art classes are learning how to draw by using shapes and lines in order to get accurate proportions for their subject matter. They also are learning how to shade with pencil to make their drawings more realistic. They will be using all these new skills to create an animal or insect and show value with tiny dots called stippling. Stay tuned!
World Cultures
This week, students in Introduction to World Spanish Cultures created sugar skulls, a traditional Mexican decoration, to prepare for Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) which is observed in Mexico on November 1st and 2nd. Students mixed sugar, water, and meringue powder and pressed them into their shape. After letting them dry, they looked at traditional styles to decorate them.
Red Ribbon Week
Picture Retakes
Picture Retakes will be held on November 6. Once again, we'll be asking you to complete the picture form online if your child was absent or will be having his/her picture retaken.
