π Parent-Teacher Conferences β Continuing Our Home-School Partnership!
As I shared at Curriculum Night, a strong partnership between home and school is essential to every child's success! Parent-Teacher Conferences are a wonderful opportunity to continue that partnership as we come together to celebrate your child's growth, reflect on their progress, and discuss next steps to support their continued learning and success.
Conference sign-ups will open on Monday, November 2, at 7:00 AM. We encourage all families to schedule a time to connect with their child's teacher.
We look forward to these meaningful conversations as we continue working together to help every Panther shine bright! ππΎ
Author Visit at Prospect
Jasmine Warga, the author of Prospect Schoolβs One Book One School (OBOS), The Unlikely Tale of Chase and Finnegan, will be visiting Prospect School on Wednesday, November 4th, and speaking to Prospect students. If you havenβt had an opportunity to read the OBOS book, it is not too late and is a lovely story! Feel free to bring your book to school on Wednesday, November 4th to have the author autograph it.
CogAT Testing β 2nd & 5th Grade
Our 2nd and 5th grade students will be participating in the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT). This assessment helps us better understand students' reasoning and problem-solving abilities. The testing schedule is provided below. We encourage families to help students get a good night's sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school on time. No special preparation is needed. Thank you for helping our Panthers feel confident and ready to do their best!
π Celebrating Prospect's 75th Birthday! π
Prospect is turning 75, and we are excited to celebrate this special milestone with our Panther family! On December 11, our 75th day of school, we will come together as a school community to celebrate Prospect's birthday! Students and staff will gather to sing our school song and "Happy Birthday," followed by a special moment when each student will make a birthday wish and blow out their own handheld, battery-operated candle!
In preparation for this exciting day, we will be ordering special 75th anniversary T-shirts for all students and staff to wear during our celebration. A huge thank-you to our amazing PTO for supporting this fun idea and helping make this milestone extra special!
π We Need Your Child's T-Shirt Size!
Please take a moment to complete the form below to select your child's T-shirt size so we can ensure every Panther has a shirt for our celebration!

Veterans Day
On Wednesday, November 11th, at 1:00 pm, Prospect will be honoring all who have served in the United States Armed Forces. There will be a special assembly open to students, staff and Veterans.
Please complete the special Thank You, Hero Veterans Day Assembly 2026 form so we can add the special member of your family to our Wall of Honor. (If you have completed it in years past, we still have the information.)
Wear RED, WHITE and BLUE on the special day to honor our veterans. Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts are encouraged to wear their uniforms.
We invite parents, grandparents and other special relatives of students or staff, who have served in the Armed Forces, to join us for this special celebration.
πΈ Picture Retake Day β November 13!
Mark your calendars! Picture Retake Day is scheduled for Friday, November 13, 2026!
Picture proof packets were sent home with students on Friday, October 9. If you haven't had a chance to review your child's pictures, now is a great time!
Not quite picture-perfect? No worries! π Students and staff who would like another opportunity to smile for the camera are welcome to participate in Picture Retake Day.
Important Reminder: If your child is having their picture retaken, please make sure they bring their original proof packet back to school and give it to the photographer.
We look forward to capturing even more wonderful Prospect smiles! ππΈ
