Happy Sunday, Pride,

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and found a few moments to spend with—or reflect upon—the women who helped shape and mold you into who you are today. I understand that Mother’s Day can be a wonderful day for many, but it can also be a day filled with emotions—joy, gratitude, grief, longing, or even complexity.

No matter how you spent the day, I hope you felt supported, seen, and appreciated. We are grateful for the many incredible women in our Riverwalk community who show up with love, strength, and care every single day.

I wanted to take a moment to shout out the women of Riverwalk Academy, who—for at least eight hours a day—pour their hearts into nurturing, teaching, guiding, and supporting our students. Whether they're in the classroom, office, cafeteria, or anywhere in between, their presence makes a lasting impact on our Pride.

We are blessed at Riverwalk Academy to have some of the strongest, most caring teachers I’ve ever worked with. They lead with empathy, teach with passion, and model resilience and grace—often going above and beyond without ever seeking recognition. Their impact reaches far beyond academics; they help shape character, confidence, and community.

As we head into the final stretch of the school year, let’s continue to lift one another up, celebrate the small wins, and show up for our students and for each other.

In Pride and Purpose,

~Dr. Compton
