Episcopal Schools Week is Here!
There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit is the source of them all. There are different kinds of service but we serve the same Lord. A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other 1 Corinthians 12:4-7
This week, we joyfully celebrate Episcopal Schools Week—a time to reflect on the many gifts we’ve received from one Spirit. As a school community, and as individuals, we are each blessed with spiritual gifts meant to uplift and serve others.
Your children may find themselves wondering this week and this year: What gifts has God given me? We are never too young to hear God’s voice or to begin discovering the ways we are called to contribute to the world around us.
Scripture reminds us of many spiritual gifts: leadership, wisdom, understanding, prophecy, helping, creativity, encouragement, teaching, faith, and languages—just to name a few. I wonder what gifts God has given you, and how you might use them to make the world a better place.
At St. Luke’s Episcopal School, we do more than teach reading, writing, public speaking, or math. We also seek to instill a deeper truth: every one of us is a beloved child of God, uniquely gifted, and called to share those gifts with the world.
Please mark your calendars for these special chapel events during Episcopal Schools Week:
Sunday, October 5, 11:00 a.m. - School families are encouraged to attend Episcopal School Sunday Services at St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Students and faculty will help lead worship for both of the services. Beginner Singing Tigers sang at 9:00 a.m. and Advanced Singing Tigers will sing at 11:00 a.m. along with our handbell choir.
Tuesday, October 7, at 8:00 a.m. - Blessing of the Pets on the South Lawn. Parents are invited to bring your pets to the south lawn after dropoff. All creatures, great and small, are invited. Students are invited to bring a photo of their pet and/or stuffed animal if pet is unable to be present.
- Thursday, October 9, at 8:00 a.m. - All-school chapel with a Blessing of Students, Faculty and Staff. Please join the whole school (including EC) for chapel in the sanctuary to bless our school community. Join us for a Pep Rally with a Blessing of the Fall Athletes beginning at 2:15 p.m. in the McNab Gym.

Episcopal Schools Week: Parents Night Out
Episcopal Schools Week is a time each year when Episcopal Schools and Parishes all across the country (and the world) take time to celebrate each other and the special community built between an Episcopal Church and School. This is something we know a lot about on the Hilltop.
This Episcopal Schools Week we would like to extend the greatest gift we could think of to our wonderful School parents: a night off.
Courtesy of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, you may drop off your children, ages 0 to 5th grade, on Wednesday, October 8th at 6 p.m., whether they are St. Luke's students or not. The professional nursery staff will be available for the little ones. A fun activity (making friendship bracelets) and watching a Pixar movie will be provided by the Church's (amazing) Children's ministry.
There IS a limit on how many spots we can provide, so please RSVP below! We will continue to take reservations all spots are filled. Thank you all so much, we hope you enjoy, and may God bless you abundantly!

Wednesday, October 8th: Drop off beginning at 6 PM, pick up between 8:15 - 8:30 PM
