Come join us for our ESL Parent Night on Tuesday, April 29th from 4:30-5:30pm! In this meeting, our teachers will discuss information related to: ACCESS Testing, End of Year Closeout, and more!

Come out and join us on Wednesday, April 30th from 4:30-6:30pm for our Duke Energy STEM Night / Science Fair! You will have a chance to see projects displayed from our students, a live Wax Museum, and STEM stations will be set up for everyone to have some fun building, creating, and enjoying themselves! We are so excited about this event and hope to see everyone!

Please come out and support our Theater Arts Department on May 8th and 9th as they have been preparing and working hard on their musical performance. Admission is $5.00. The show begins at 6:00pm each night! They are asking that everyone be seated before showtime. It will be a show to remember!

Students will begin their end of year assessments from April 22nd until May 9th. This will be on their Dibels and mClass testing. Please make sure that your child is reading on a daily basis. Help them to review their comprehension skills, reading fluency, nonsense words, and knowing their letter sounds.

We will begin EOG Testing on May 12th. Please make sure that all students in Grades 3-5 get plenty of rest and arrive on time to school each day. The schedule will be as follows:

Monday, May 12th: ELA

Tuesday, May 13th: 5th Grade Science / Make-Ups

Wednesday, May 14th: Math

Thursday, May 15th: Make-Up Testing / Remediation

Friday, May 16th: Make-Up Testing / Remediation

Tuesday, May 20th: EOG ELA Retest (4th & 5th Graders Only)

Wednesday, May 21st: EOG Math Retest

We would like to thank everyone who came out to our Spring Fling on Friday evening! We hope you enjoyed yourself and had lots of fun! I know that the students were running around having a great time with all the games, candy, food trucks, vendor tables, etc.! We are thankful to have such supportive parents! We would also like to thank our PTSO for sponsoring this event, as well as the Vendors, Food Trucks, and Staff members who all help to support!

Please make sure that you touch base with your child's teacher about the end of the year Award's Program. This is the last one for the year so we would like for every parent to be in attendance!

We will celebrated the last day of school on Friday, May 23rd at 12:00pm! Please make sure that if your child is a car rider, you are on time for the car line. If your child is a bus rider and needs someone at the stop to meet the bus, please make sure they are there on time.

For all students who will be attending West Lee Middle School, they will be hosting a Parent Night Session on Wednesday, April 30th from 6:00-7:30pm. They will have staff members in place to answer all of your questions and concerns about middle school.

We hope that all rising 6th graders have considered or will consider applying to the AVID Program for middle school!

SanLee has already started with interviews, however, they are still taking applications. Please visit their school website for more information and the QR Code that will take you directly to their application link.

West Lee is currently taking applications. Please apply via their school website. They will also have information about their AVID Program during their Parent Night Session on Wednesday, April 30th.

East Lee is currently taking applications as well. Please contact the school or visit their school website for more information.

If you would like to assist us during EOG Testing by being a proctor, hallway monitor, after testing gym supervisor, runner of materials, etc., please reach out to Mr. Beasley or Ms. Evans. We are in need of volunteers to help make sure that our testing sessions run smoothly and our teachers are given proper breaks while testing takes place. There is so much to testing that you can help with! We would definitely appreciate the assistance!

If you would like to be a part of the PTSO Board for the upcoming school year, or just a member of the PTSO in general, please plan to meet on Thursday, May 8th at 5:00pm in the Media Center.
