Message from the Principal
BBE Parents,
What an exciting time to be at BBE!
It’s hard to believe we’re already approaching the end of the first nine weeks and that Fall Break is just around the corner! Time flies when you're learning and growing together.
We’re thrilled to kick off our Book Fair this week—one of our favorite Bear Branch traditions! There’s nothing more powerful in supporting student performance and lifelong learning than reading. Whether you’re reading to your child, with your child, or listening to them read, these moments are building blocks for success—and treasured memories, too.
October is shaping up to be an exciting month! Mark your calendars for:
-
Trunk or Treat – October 24th (Sponsored by PTO)
-
Red Ribbon Week – October 27th–31st
-
Storybook Character Parade – October 31st
Hope to see you around the school and we appreciate all the support from our families.
Thank you for trusting us with your students. Bears LEAD the Way! All the Way! Go Bears!

Book Character Pumpkin Patch
Dear Families,
This year the library will be hosting the 8th Annual Book Character Pumpkin Patch. Students may bring a FAKE pumpkin decorated as their favorite book character. This will not be a contest, however, each student will receive a certificate and other goodies for participating. Pumpkins may be dropped off at the library on Monday, October 20th- Friday, Nov, 7th.
Important Info:
ABSOLUTELY NO CARVED PUMPKINS! Carved pumpkins rot, attract bugs, and smell. Carved pumpkins might be sent home. Please purchase a fake pumpkin and decorate that. They are easier to carry, will not rot, and can be displayed year to year. Pumpkins may be painted, etc. Let your creativity soar!
Pumpkins should represent a favorite book character. On the form, please write the title and author of the book. **I would recommend getting the book first before starting to decorate the pumpkin. ** Please bring the book in too (write your name in it). You will get it back.
Write your name somewhere on the pumpkin. When you bring your pumpkin to Mrs. Cowham, she will take your pumpkin, book, & form to display it in the library for others to enjoy!
Pumpkins will not be judged, however, each student will receive a certificate & other goodies.
Pumpkins will be sent home starting Nov.10th.
