Way to go PAIGE from TX C&CP!

Paige was the first one to answer our brain teaser correctly.

A man stands on one side of a river, his dog on the other. The man calls his dog, who immediately crosses the river without getting wet and without using a bridge or a boat. How did the dog do it?

The river was frozen!

Offer the Most Difficult First: Allow students to complete a few of the most difficult problems that you are currently teaching. If they can master those, you can give them an alternate assignment that is more challenging. This is one way to compact the curriculum.

This strategy is explained more in-depth in the article below, "Six Strategies for Challenging Gifted Learners".

Have you done this before? We would love to hear about how you used this strategy in your classroom previously.

Never done this before? Try it and let us know how it goes!
