School Safety at MLK!
🔒 School Safety Matters 🔒

Through consistent procedures, staff training, and community partnership, we work together to ensure that our school remains a safe place for all.
Attendance Matters at 'The King!
Every Day Counts: Supporting Attendance at MLK Elementary
At MLK Elementary, we know that regular school attendance is one of the most important factors in your child’s academic success. Students who attend school consistently not only perform better academically but also develop critical social skills, build meaningful relationships with peers and teachers, and gain confidence to face new challenges.
We are thrilled to see an increase in student attendance this month, and we want to thank our families for their commitment to ensuring students are present and on time each day. Your support is essential in creating a positive learning environment where every scholar can thrive.
To help maintain and improve attendance, here are a few tips for families:
-
Establish a consistent routine: Set regular bedtimes and morning schedules so your child is rested and ready to learn.
-
Plan ahead for appointments: Whenever possible, schedule medical or dental visits outside school hours.
-
Communicate with the school: Let us know promptly if your child will be absent and work with teachers to stay caught up.
-
Encourage engagement: Show interest in your child’s day and celebrate their accomplishments at school to make learning exciting and meaningful.
Every day at school is an opportunity to learn, grow, and shine. Together, we can ensure that our scholars make the most of every moment—because every day truly counts!
