Hyatt's January - February Updates
Hello Hyatt Families,
Happy New Year! We hope you and your family enjoyed a restful and joyful winter break. As we begin this new year together, we are excited to welcome students back and look forward to the growth, learning, and successes that lie ahead.
As we settle back into school routines, building stamina is especially important for our early elementary learners. Stamina helps children strengthen their focus, persistence, and ability to engage in learning activities for longer periods of time. Families can support this at home by encouraging short periods of focused play or reading, gradually increasing the time as your child becomes more comfortable. Activities such as listening to a story without interruptions, completing a puzzle, drawing pictures, or playing simple board games all help children practice attention and self-regulation in fun, meaningful ways.
In the coming months, we have numerous exciting events planned during and after the school day. These opportunities are designed to support student learning, build community, and celebrate our school spirit. More details will be shared soon, and we hope you can join us when possible.
Thank you for your continued partnership and shared commitment to educating your children. We truly value your support and look forward to a successful year ahead.

A Word from Officer Williams
Hello Hyatt Families! I want to take a moment to thank you for the care and attention you show each day in getting your children to school safely. Your partnership plays a vital role in keeping our students protected, especially during busy arrival times.
One important reminder I would like to share is the importance of seatbelt use and remaining seated while vehicles are in the drop-off line. Even when cars are stopped or moving slowly, children should stay buckled and remain in their seats until the vehicle has come to a complete stop and an adult is ready to assist. This helps prevent injuries and ensures everyone’s safety during the morning routine.
You can support this at home by talking with your child about why seatbelts matter and practicing safe car habits together. When children understand expectations and routines, they are more likely to follow them consistently—even during busy mornings.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and commitment to student safety. Working together, we can ensure that every child arrives at school ready for a great day of learning.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. I appreciate your support and look forward to keeping our school community safe.
