A snapshot of the many activities at EES.

Students in all grade shared their gifts of remembrance in honor of Veterans in our Memorial Day Assembly. From songs to poems, band pieces (with our own band creations!) to poppies, our students recognized this solemn day of gratitude. Many thanks to our Veterans, active and retired, and first responders for attending as our guests of honor.

The Town of Essex will host their Memorial Day Ceremonies on Monday @ 11am @ Shepard Memorial Park. Students will be performing from our MERSD school district. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Thanks to the Friends of EES especially members Jessica Webb, Laura Campbell and Maggie Gleason, students K-5 enjoyed an amazing collection of books brought to us by The Book Shop of Beverly Farms. While classrooms visited the Book Fair Thursday and Friday during the school day, families had the opportunity to visit the Book Fair during the 5th Grade's Ice Cream Social Thursday evening and it was a busy flow of excited readers and families. Ms. Silag loved meeting families and seeing what books the kiddos were excited to purchase. Teachers chose Wish List books and the donations to classroom libraries and the school library were plentiful. Thank you for all the generosity our schoolhouse received from our EES families!

Families enjoyed ice cream as a sure sign that the school year is coming to an end! Fifth grade families and students hosted our annual Ice Cream Social. A good time was had by all! Shout out goes to Jessica Palm, Elle Wolfe, Theresa Whitman and the many families that contributed to the event.
