NBAPS in Bloom

Dear Families,

Spring is in full bloom across North Branch Area Public Schools, and with it comes a burst of energy, celebration, and community connection! From Broadway-level talent in Shrek The Musical to spotlight moments like Mattias Bigbear’s incredible hoop dancing on CBS, our students continue to amaze us with their passion, creativity, and excellence.

This edition is packed with stories that reflect who we are—students working hard and earning honors, students, staff and families coming together at joyful events like the Sock Hop, and staff leading innovative learning experiences from classrooms to community events. Whether it’s kindergarten registration, honor roll recognition, or students earning prestigious awards, there’s so much to celebrate.

As we head into the final weeks of the school year, I’m filled with pride and gratitude for the students, staff, and families who make NBAPS such a special place to learn and grow. Let’s keep moving forward—together.

Celebrating Honor Roll students

NBAMS is using social media to celebrate Honor Roll and On a Roll students. See photos from 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.

Bigbear hoop dances on CBS Sunday Morning

2nd grader Mattias Bigbear and his amazing hoop dancing skills were featured on CBS Sunday Morning at the end of March. You can watch the segment here. Way to go Mattias!

Vehicle Fair coming May 22

Join us for the Vehicle Fair on May 22, 5:30-7:30 pm! Put on by Community Ed and Early Childhood, this free community event boasts emergency vehicles, construction equipment, food trucks for treats, and other assorted vehicles that kids love! See flier for details.

Preschool Learn and Play

Preschool Learn and Play registration is now open and classes are filling fast. Call 651-674-1220 or visit the Community Ed registration website to register.

Designer Purse and Yeti Bingo - April 27

The NBAEF is hosting Designer Purse and Yeti Bingo on Sunday, April 27, at the Lent Town Hall, doors open at noon. This event is unlike other purse bingo events; the winner has the choice of purse, Yeti, cash, or combo! See flier for more details

Esget earns Athena

NBAHS congratulates senior Dakota Esget - 2025 Athena Award winner! Esget was one of four senior female athletes nominated by NBAHS head coaches, then selected for the honor based on her outstanding athletic accomplishments by vote from the school's coaching staff.

First annual NBAHS AKC dog show

Students in Small Animal Science courses participated in the first annual NBAHS AKC Dog Show. They competed In a bracket-style showdown with others to be awarded the coveted “Best in Show” prize by their peers. Click here to reveal the winners.
