The Preschool Press is our monthly newsletter with all things related to preschool, our programming and resources for our preschool families.

Monday, August 17th: Open House

• Open House is a time for you to come to Redwood to visit your classroom, bring your school supplies, meet your teacher and tour the school! Open House is an optional event.
• 330-415 Families with last names from A-L
• 430-515 Families with last names from M-Z

Tuesday, August 18th: Orientation

• During orientation, you will come with your child, visit the classroom, participate in an activity and complete any required paperwork. Orientation is REQUIRED.
• Please bring your child's backpack with them and their school supplies.

• Morning Session: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM

• Afternoon Session: 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM

If you will be transporting your child to/from school, please make note of the following:

Afternoon Session: 2:55 – 3:00

· ALL preschoolers will enter/exit the building through the FRONT MAIN DOORS. You must park your car in a designated parking spot and walk your child to the doors to meet the Preschool staff. At pick up time, you again must park in a designated parking spot and pick your child up from the Preschool staff at the FRONT MAIN DOORS.

For the safety and security of all of our Redwood students:

• Please only park in designated parking spots
• There is no parking in the fire lane in front of the building
• The parking lot by the playground can be accessed from the west entrance off of Redwood. Follow the drive in front of the building to get to the spots. DO NOT ENTER off of Redwood into the playground parking lot. That is an EXIT ONLY!

All preschoolers are given a color coded tag on their backpack hook that coordinates to their classroom. This allows all staff to easily identify which classroom a child should be going to for arrival and also if they are a bus rider. Please DO NOT remove the tags.

Friendly reminder that tuition payments are due on the 1st of the month.

This payment secures your child's place for the LEAPS program for this 26/27 school year. Lapse in payment could cause a disruption in enrollment.

Payment Information:

• Payments can be made online via https://www.payschoolscentral.com/ (attached are also instruction on how to set up reoccurring monthly payments)
• Check, cash or money order made payable to Avon Lake City School can be mailed to Treasurer’s Office, 175 Avon Belden Road, Avon Lake OH 44012
