About Us About Us

The Everbean Café is a student-run business located on the first floor of Bellevue School District Central Offices. Everbean was started back in 2009 by former Special Ed. Teacher Peggy Lynch and Paraeducator Debbie Varga as a vocational training experience for the young adults (ages 18-22) in ETP (Evergreen Transition Program). Students gain a variety of valuable skills including money-handling skills, operating a cash register, customer service, making beverages, and more. Everbean's primary goal to assist our young adults with disabilities in acquiring transferable work skills to a paid job at coffeeshop or similar setting. Proceeds go back into running the business. Everbean is currently managed by Special Ed. Teacher Autumn Cutter and overseen daily by several wonderful BSD Paraeducators who serve as student job coaches: Sara Zhong, Isabelle Cook, Diane Yanosko, and Mary Luna, as well as several amazing students. We also want to recognize former Paraeducator Cassie Swoope who gave years of service to Everbean and has left behind wonderful memories in the hearts of many customers. Cassie will always be remembered for her warmth, friendly smile, and fierce dedication to serving young adults in training at Everbean.
