- We teach students how to properly care for their devices; however, students are responsible for any damage that may occur. Technology insurance can be purchased online here. Purchasing insurance is optional, but it can provide peace of mind when accidents happen! Deadline coming soon.
We need your help! Arrival and Dismissal
As a neighborhood school, many of our students and families walk or bike to school. Please slow down and stay alert during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. We know everyone is busy and often rushing to work or the next activity, but student safety is our priority.
Please also remind students to use sidewalks and crosswalks if they are walking or biking to and from school. We see students cut across Elizabeth street near the end of our front drive, which is not a safe place to cross.
If you walk or bike with your child, please help us model using the crosswalk. There may be a day when your child walks or bikes without an adult, and we want those safe habits already in place.
Thank you for helping us keep our Yellowjackets safe! 🐝

Therapy Dog
Ms. Baker, our Speech Pathologist, has a trained therapy dog who will be on campus. While her speech students will receive a separate de-permission form, other students may occasionally interact with the dog—for example, for comfort on a difficult day or simply while the dog is visiting areas of the school.
If you do not want your child to have direct contact with the therapy dog, please reply to this newsletter or call the school office to let us know.
Birthdays
We are excited to offer families the opportunity to celebrate their child’s birthday by displaying a Happy Birthday on our outdoor digital sign! Order now so you don't forget!
The happy birthday will be displayed during your child’s birthday week for $10. Complete the digital form AND then pay and the Happy Birthday message will be displayed.
The earlier, the better! Sign up now and we'll have your child's name on the calendar & their Happy Birthday message ready to go.
We are not here over long breaks or on the weekend. Please enter birthdays in advance if you want them displayed on your child's special day.
Please note: Birthday treats may NOT be brought to school to share with classmates. We invite families to celebrate their child with a birthday message on our outdoor digital sign instead!
