Pictographs for Elementary Students
Prosper ISD will be enabling pictograph multifactor authentication for our 2nd through 5th-grade students starting August 21st. We will enable these on a per-school basis through August 28th.
What is a Pictograph?
A pictograph is a simple, visual picture used as a second layer of login security. Instead of entering a code or typing an extra password, your child selects a specific picture (such as an animal, object, or symbol) that only they know.
Why Are We Adding Pictographs?
Protecting your child’s digital safety and personal data is our top priority. As cybersecurity standards evolve, passwords alone are no longer enough to protect student accounts. By adding a Pictograph, a simple visual Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) step, we add a powerful layer of security to prevent unauthorized access to your child's Classlink Launchpad and Chromebook.
How Pictograph Login Works:
- Initial Setup (One-Time): During enrollment at school, your child will be prompted to choose and memorize a specific image from a secure list.
- Daily Logins: After entering their standard username and password on their Chromebook or Classlink Launchpad, students will select their chosen picture to complete the login.
- At-Home Access: If your child logs into Classlink from home, the process remains exactly the same: username, password, then select their picture!
How You Can Help at Home:
- Talk with your child about keeping their chosen image secret—just like a password.
Together We Cultivate
Dear Families,
This year, 4th and 5th grade Lilyana students will have the opportunity to be a
representative for the Student Council (StuCo) Leadership Team. If your child would like to
participate in StuCo, please have them fill out the linked application (https://bit.ly/4g61aaF)
or scan the QR code by Tuesday, September 8th.
Election speeches will be presented in each student’s homeroom on Thursday, September 17
and Friday, September 18. Each candidate will deliver their speech in their homeroom. After
speeches are delivered, each homeroom will vote for one representative. The results from
the election will be sent home via a letter (congratulatory or regret) at the end of the day on
Tuesday, September 22. In addition to being nominated by their peers, students must
maintain good grades, have good attendance, and model excellent behavior.
During the school year, StuCo will participate in a variety of activities including meetings,
service projects, and helping with school events or drives. Students are required to attend
monthly meetings. Meetings will be held before school, and regular attendance is expected
and vital to the success of the organization.
At our first Student Council meeting, we will review expectations, upcoming events, and
discuss our leadership book study. Parents will receive student council updates through
email or our Student Council Google Classroom.
If your child would like to participate, please have them fill out the linked application
(https://bit.ly/4g61aaF). You may also access the application through our Student Council
Google Classroom (join code: sl4ohl2o), scan QR code, or email Ms. Green.
If you have any questions, please contact your StuCo sponsor. We are excited about a great
year of leadership and service in our Lilyana Community.
Thank you,
Lilyana Student Council Sponsor, Maria Green

🥳FAMILY SHOUT-OUTS!
We invite families to take a moment to celebrate and encourage our teachers and staff through Family Shout-Outs. Your kind words go a long way in building a culture of positivity and appreciation across our campus.
Next Friday, August 28th, all state-mandated grades will have their vision and hearing checked, along with a quick visual check of their necks for the acanthosis nigricans marker (an identifying factor for Diabetes), conducted by PISD-certified screeners.
Eligible Students: All Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, and 5th-grade students, as well as any students new to Prosper ISD.
Opt-Outs: Students whose parents have opted them out will not be screened.
Scheduling Note: If you need to schedule appointments on this date, please try to book them after 2:00 PM.
Tips to Prepare Your Student:
Glasses & Contacts: Ensure students wear their glasses or contact lenses on screening day. If wearing contacts, students should inform their screener.
No Earrings: Please do not wear earrings on this day, as headphones can cause discomfort when pressing against them during the hearing test.
