Principal's News
Our fourth grade students proudly showcased their hard work and creativity at their State Float Fair today. Each student researched an assigned U.S. state, then created an eye-catching float and informative pamphlet highlighting key information, landmarks, and interesting facts about their state. The impressive displays reflected many weeks of hard work dedicated to research and preparation that made the Fair a huge success. Way to go, fourth graders!

Nurse's News
Seasonal Allergies: often called hay fever or allergic rhinitis, affect millions of children and adults each year. These allergies are triggered by airborne pollen from trees, grasses, and weeds during certain times of the year. Common symptoms include sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, itchy eyes, throat, or ears, and coughing. For students, these symptoms can impact concentration, attendance, and overall well-being.
Stay informed about daily pollen levels through weather websites or apps.
Stay indoors during peak pollen times, usually early morning and windy days.
Keep windows closed at home and in the car to prevent pollen from entering.
Shower and change clothes after outdoor activities to remove pollen from hair and skin.
Hydration: Proper hydration helps regulate body temperature, maintain energy levels, and support overall bodily functions. Dehydration can lead to fatigue, dizziness, and more serious health issues such as heat exhaustion or heatstroke.
Sun Safety: As the weather warms up, outdoor activities become more enticing. Remind your child to apply sunscreen before heading outside to protect against harmful UV rays. Encourage the use of hats and sunglasses for added protection, especially during peak sun hours.
If you have any concerns about your child's health, or illnesses that may occur during the school year, please notify the school nurse at 781-319-3985.

This week in the library we read "Those Shoes" by Maribeth Boelts. This short but sweet story follows a young boy, Jeremy, while he learns the difference between wants and needs. "Those Shoes" helped to enrich our discussions of the importance of compassion and how to show kindness.
