Randall Weekly Update - Week 10

Happy Halloween Randall families!

What a great week it was to be a Wildcat! Our 4th graders represented Randall well as they took a field trip to Madison to tour the state capitol and visit the zoo. On Tuesday, our Wildcat Girls Basketball Teams took on Brookwood, with the A Team extending their winning streak to 5 games in a row! Our B Team lost in a nailbiter coming down to the very last few seconds of the game. Be sure to catch our basketball players in action next week Tuesday at Bristol. On Wednesday, the whole school embraced the Halloween festivities with elementary Harvest Parties and so many sweet treats! We took over 200 pictures on Wednesday of all the creative and hilarious costumes. If you are interested in seeing if we got a snap of your student, please email Ms. Garcia (agarcia@randall.k12.wi.us) and we will send you any pictures we may have. Thank you to all of the parents who chaperoned the many events and activities we had this week - your support and collaboration is so valued and vital to ensuring our strong school-to-home partnership!

If you haven't heard, our Randall PTC is truly unparalleled throughout the area and leads the way in supporting our staff and students. In this week alone, our PTC:

  • hosted and organized the annual fall Book Fair, providing students the opportunity to pick out books they love and then donated funds and books back toward the school!
  • provided a delicious and much appreciated dinner for our staff on Wednesday evening for conferences
  • arranged the annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest (congratulations to Mrs. Merfeld on winning!)

Lastly, to reiterate from last week, parents/guardians are now able to access your child(ren)'s login and password information. Please use this link for directions on how to access this through Skyward. This new feature will help to ensure parents are able to login to your child(ren)'s devices in case your child forgets their login info!

We look forward to working with you and your student(s) throughout the 2025-26 school year. It is my goal to be as clear and supportive as possible. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly at agarcia@randall.k12.wi.us with any questions or concerns.

NATIONAL BULLYING PREVENTION MONTH:

To finish out National Bullying Prevention Month, students will have the opportunity to sign our school-wide banner pledging that they will stand up against bullies. We will do this next week during lunch and have it hanging in the elementary entryway during parent/teacher conferences. :)

Be on the lookout in the coming weeks for information on our annual holiday program, Wildcat Wishes.

Speak Up Speak Out Program for Randall Speak Up Speak Out Program for Randall

Randall School is pleased to announce the launch of the SPEAK UP, SPEAK OUT confidential tipline as part of our school safety efforts. Tiplines are used to identify threats to schools, and for concerns impacting school age youth such as bullying, drug use, suicidal thoughts and more. Schools that promote and use tiplines have less violence overall. The SPEAK UP, SPEAK OUT (SUSO) tipline is run by the Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Office of School Safety. Parents and students, this tool is available for anyone to use to help keep the Randall Community safe!

Randall students will engage in learning about how to advocate for their own (and others') safety and well-being over the next month in partnership with our counselor, Mrs. Roth, as well as other members of our student services team. We encourage you to speak with your child about the importance of communicating when/if they feel that their safety may be compromised.

Here is a LINK to an informational flyer about Speak Up Speak Out.

Thank you in advance for all of your support!
