Monitor Elementary School
December 2025
Message from Principals
November was a GREAT month at Monitor Elementary! We had our 4th grade music program in honor of Veterans Day and our 3rd-5th grade students participated in fun activities learning about Cherokee cultural traditions. Our second graders took a field trip to see a Razorback basketball game, our fourth graders visited Apple Seeds Farm, and our GT students took a field trip to the Walton Arts Center to see Dog Man! We hosted our Grateful for Grandparents lunch and our fire escape plan winner arrived to school in a fire truck. Between all of these fun activities, there was lots of learning that happened here at school too! We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break! December is going to be a fun and busy month, and we're looking forward to all we have planned!

Winter Weather Recess Attire
Inclement Weather
If there is inclement weather, please check the Springdale Public Schools Facebook page and the local news for information about school closures. As a general rule, we do not post if we are having school, only if the school will be closed. Also, please note that four student catch-up days are built into our school calendar, so if we have any snow days, the first four will not be required to be made up at the end of the school year.
Dress Code Reminders
As the weather is changing and students are growing, please be mindful of the following school dress code items:
- Distressed jeans should not have holes or rips above fingertip length.
- Shirts should be long enough so the midriff is not showing.
- Pajama pants should be worn on pajama days only.
If you need any help with clothing for your child, please contact the school and connect with our school social worker, Reina Hart.
Parent Center
If you have not yet visited our parent center, in the front lobby right outside the counseling office, we invite you to come look at the resources we have waiting for you! You can also check out our digital Parent Information & Resource Center linked below! This hub includes live links to direct families to community and state resources to help meet their needs. Our staff, including our social worker, counselors, parent liaisons, and more, are also here to assist families. We hope you'll find this resource helpful!
