🎃 Alsup Halloween Parade Invitation 🎃
We’re excited to invite families to join us for our Halloween Parade at Alsup! The parade will begin at 2:15 p.m.
Parents and guardians are welcome to line up along the parade route to cheer on our students. The parade will start outside the cafeteria doors, continue along the track next to the building, then move down the sidewalk on the east side, and finish at the front doors.
Halloween Costume Expectations and Classroom Activities
We’re excited to celebrate Halloween on Friday! Students are encouraged to wear their costumes to school. Please make sure your child arrives already dressed in their costume, as teachers will not be able to assist with putting on costumes during the day.
Please keep in mind:
-
Students will wear their costumes all day and will follow their regular schedule, including lunch, recess, and specials such as Art and P.E.
-
Masks or face paint that make students unidentifiable are not allowed.
-
Costumes should be school-appropriate and not scary.
-
No weapons or accessories (such as swords, guns, wands, etc.) are permitted.
-
Costumes must still adhere to the school dress code.
Classroom teachers will share details about any classroom activities or celebrations planned for Halloween.
We can’t wait to see everyone’s creative costumes and enjoy a fun, safe celebration together! 👻
Reminders!🦅
New Tardy Procedure
All students arriving after 8:10 AM must be signed in at the front office by an adult.
This change is due to the continued large number of tardies. We appreciate your support in helping students arrive on time each day, ready to learn!
Candy Drive for Trunk-or-Treat 🍬
We are still collecting candy for our trunk or treat. The class with the most wins a party!
Mr. Brescia's 4th Grade class is in the lead with 1,130 pieces of candy!
We will continue collecting candy through the morning of Wednesday, October 29!
🚗 Safety Reminder – Drop Off & Pick Up 🚦
Parents, we need your help to keep all students, staff, and families safe during drop-off and pick-up each day. Please follow these important procedures:
-
Right-lane drop-off only: Students must be dropped off from the right lane.
-
Do not block crosswalks: The area in front of the crosswalk is not a drop-off or pick-up zone.
-
Handicap spaces: These spots are reserved only for vehicles with valid handicap placards.
-
No mid-lot drop-offs: Please do not drop students off in the middle of the parking lot—this is extremely unsafe. Always use the driveline.
-
Student unloading zone: Students should exit the car in the designated student unloading zone. Do not wait until reaching the crosswalk for your child to get out.
Following these procedures ensures the safety of all students and helps our drop-off and pick-up run smoothly. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to safety!
