Dear Raymer Elementary School Community,

I am delighted to be returning as principal of Raymer Elementary School. I am also thrilled to be meeting new families from other East Toledo schools. As a proud graduate of Toledo Public Schools, specifically Waite High School, returning to this community deeply meaningful. It is an honor to serve the district that shaped my educational journey, and I am eager to contribute to Raymer’s legacy of excellence.

With 12 years of administrative experience. I have seen the power of strong relationships, meaningful family and community partnerships, and a shared commitment to academic excellence. My leadership is guided by a dedication to fostering a safe, inclusive, and high-achieving school where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.

On a personal note, I have been married to my husband, Joel, for 17 years, and we have an 8-year-old son, Mateo, who keeps us on our toes. In my free time, I enjoy reading, baking sourdough bread, and exploring the outdoors with my family. As a product of Toledo Public Schools—having attended Franklin Elementary, East Side Central, East Toledo Junior High, and Waite High School—I am deeply connected to this community. I continued my education at the University of Toledo, earning both my undergraduate and graduate degrees.

I am thrilled to be staying at Raymer Elementary and continuing to collaborate with our exceptional educators/staff, families, and students. Together, we will build on Raymer’s strengths to create an environment where every child thrives academically, socially, and emotionally.

I cannot wait to meet you at our Open House on August 20th from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Please join us to share your ideas, ask questions, and begin this exciting journey together.

Class lists will be posted on Thursday, Aug.20th at the Open House. Stop by to see your teacher, visit the classroom, and meet the staff.

Please note: You cannot visit classrooms until 5:30 pm.

Please note, all cell phones will be collected daily.

Breakfast will be served at 8:45 am. Any student getting breakfast should enter the cafeteria doors by the playground.

For all other students, doors will open at 8:55 am, with the final bell ringing at 9:05 am (this is the late bell). Therefore, students should not arrive before 8:55 am.

The students should come to their assigned doors (both entrances at the front of the building) and report directly to their classrooms. The following are doors assigned to each grade level:

• Grades K-3- Arrival and dismissal at main entrance
• Grades 4-8- Arrival and dismissal at door to the left of the main entrance (not the playground doors)

Please note: We will not utilize the back of the building for arrival and dismissal.

Do not park in the bus lane at the back of the building.

• Grades K-6- dismiss at 3:20
• Grades 7, 8- dismiss at 3:25

Arrival and Dismissal Reminders

• Please do not move the cones to enter the parking lot as this is a safety issue for our students.
• Be courteous of our neighbors and do not block their drives or congest the roads.
• Do not park in the bus lane at the back of the building.

Parent Portal is an online information system designed to help parents and guardians monitor information about their student's academic progress, including grades, attendance, report cards, and teacher comments. You can access the system or sign-up as a user by visiting https://esp41pehac.eschoolplus.powerschool.com/HomeAccess/Account/LogOn?ReturnUrl=%2fHomeAccess%3fSiteCode%3dtdolive&SiteCode=tdolive. Call the school for further assistance.

Please remember to sign in to update all information and fill out a new emergency contact form for the 26-27 school year. This needs to be done yearly for all field trips, events, and emergencies.

August 24 - First Day of school, Grades 1-8

August 24 - August 27- Kindergarten screening, email jglaze@tps.org to schedule a screening date/time, staggered start date will also be assigned

September 4 - All kindergarten students attend

September 7 - Labor Day, No School

October 5 - Fall Pictures

October 16 - K-8 2 Hour Delay

November 2 - Picture Retakes

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be at the end of October- More information to come
