Principal's Message
Dear Raymer Families,
Welcome back, and welcome to all new families! We had a great start to the 2026-2027 school year. Thank you to everyone who attended our Open House night; we had a fantastic turnout. Also, thank everyone who updated their information/forms in our online enrollment portal. If you need assistance with this, please contact the office. We will need this for your child to participate in recess and for any field trips this school year.
Communication is essential, and we will keep you updated and informed of the happenings here at Raymer. Information is included in this newsletter on how to get connected to our social media. We will also be utilizing Class Dojo building wide.
If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher or me anytime. We are looking forward to a wonderful school year.
Warm Regards,
Mrs. Yolanda Mies
Welcome to our Raymer Family
9/11 Remembrance
On September 11th we are asking all students and staff to wear red, white, and blue as a day of remembrance for all the lives lost and to recognize the sacrifices of our heroes on this day in 2001.
News from our new counselor- Mrs. Nahhas
Hello Raymer Families:
I have had the privilege of working as a School Counselor for the past 17 years in Toledo Public Schools, and I have already had an amazing first week at Raymer Elementary! I am so excited to be a part of your child’s TEAM—Your Child, You, Their Teacher, Support Staff, and Administration.
I strongly believe that the best support for our students happens when we work together, communicate openly, and can count on one another to always keep the best interests of your child and their education at the heart of what we do.
One of the things I value most about being a School Counselor is the opportunity to partner with families, teachers, our Unison Partners, and all of our school staff. Whether your child is struggling socially or emotionally, needs someone to talk to on a short term basis, or is experiencing a difficult situation, or you simply want to brainstorm strategies for supporting your child, please reach out to me.
I am here to listen, collaborate, problem-solve, and help in any way I can. My goal is to make sure every child at Raymer feels safe, supported, valued, and ready to learn.
I am truly looking forward to getting to know your children and your families and to making this a wonderful school year together!
Warmly,
Susan Nahhas

Immunizations Due by October 1
If you have a kindergartener, seventh grader, or your student has immunizations that are in progress, please be aware that the immunizations are due by October 1. If your student has not yet received these immunizations, please contact their doctor to schedule an appointment.
If your student has already received the required immunizations, please send a copy of their updated immunization record to the school.
Medical Conditions
If your student has asthma, seizures, severe allergies requiring an EpiPen, or another medical condition that I should be aware of, please contact me. You can call me in the afternoon or email me at jlenkay@tps.org. When you reach out, please also let me know the best time and way to contact you.
Thank you for partnering with me to help keep our students safe, healthy, and ready to learn. I look forward to a wonderful school year!
